When House Republicans released their original version of their Tax Reform plan, they proposed a corporate tax rate of 20%. Originally, the president wanted a 15% corporate tax rate. Don’t we all deserve a 15% tax rate? When former Governor Mitt Romney ran for president in 2012, he released his federal tax returns. if you review them very carefully, you will notice that he pays approximately 14 – 15% tax rate. If a 15% tax rate is good for corporations, and according to Governor Mitt Romney, “corporations are people too,” whey not propose a 15% tax rate for the rest of us???
