Education is one of the most important keys to success! To make the most of your graduate school education, here are 5 tips to graduate school success:
- Sit at the front of the classroom. Make eye contact with the professor. Let them know you are interested in every word they have to say.
- Establish a good rapport with your professors and their teaching assistants. How? Visit them during their office hours. Ask for clarification on subjects discussed during class. Make sure they know who you are.
- Reach Outside of Your Comfort Zone. How? Study with people who do not look like you. Globalization is the rule of the day. When you enter the workplace, you will interact with people from other countries and cultures. Get used to it now!
- Embrace group projects and case studies. How? Participate in informal and formal group discussions. Dig into the case studies. Conduct additional research on case studies using search engines such as google.
- Build your professional network. How? Your professors, teaching assistants, and classmates are excellent networking prospects. As you progress in your career, your professional network will provide career opportunities, tips on new developments in your career field, and a listening ear when challenges arise.
