It is becoming more and more important for our children to learn about STEM opportunities. What is STEM? It means Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Science and mathematics can be challenging subjects, but we if we expose our children to the career opportunities available to “geeks,” it may encourage them to buckle down and do the hard work! Women Who Code DC sponsors workshops on hacking, coding, web development and devops . Check the website for schedules and registration details. If you are within driving distance, it is worth it to get interested young folks to this training opportunity. Exposure to possibilities will motivate young people.
